Soft washing uses a low-pressure cleaning solution to gently remove dirt, algae, and grime from your roof without damaging the roof materials. By eliminating harmful organisms like algae, moss, and lichen, soft wash roof cleaning helps mitigate the damage these organisms can cause, such as roof decay and loosening of roof materials. Regular soft wash roof cleaning can prolong the life of your roof, saving you costly replacements in the long run.

Our Roof Cleaning Process

• Evaluate roof (metal, asphalt, shingle and cedar shake)
• Remove debris from valleys and roof (as much as possible).
• Wet roof and any organic growth present on roof.
• Wet any vegetation around the home that is located below the roof. We will continue to keep the plants watered during roof cleaning.
• Apply roof wash and allow to dwell.
• For Asphalt shingles we will apply an algicide/fungicide to kill all organic growth.
• Rinse roof thoroughly with soft wash/low pressure.
• Rinse gutters, decks & sidewalks of any debris from the roof.
• Apply second coat of cleaning agent, if needed.
• Our process does not include oxidation removal.

What to Expect After A Roof Cleaning

Mold and mildew should be removed as well as debris. Your roof will be cleaner and brighter. However, our regular cleaning will not remove oxidation from metal roofing. 

Heavy moss may remain after our treatment and cleaning, but will change color from green to white then fall off the roof 3-6 weeks after treatment/cleaning. 

Oxidized Buildings and Roofs: Oxidation will not be removed with normal washing. It will require specialty cleaning agents and processes which will increase the price.
